John Samuel Elliott, Jr., 87, the beloved husband of Mary Bell McCants Elliott, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, September 25, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
A Going Home Celebration will be 4 PM, Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday evening, September 27, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel.

Beatrice Johnson Cooper

Beatrice Johnson Cooper, 93, widow of Marvin Thomas Cooper, went home to be with her Lord and join her awaiting loved ones on Tuesday morning, September 18, 2012, at her residence.  

Mrs. Cooper was born a daughter of William C. Johnson and Anzie A. Lambert Johnson on December 31, 1918 in the Earles Community of Andrews, SC.  She was a 32½ year Inspector for Oneita Industries.  She was a faithful lifetime member of the St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served for many years in numerous positions including former president of the Women’s Ministry and 60 plus years as a Sunday School teacher.  She committed her life to acts of selfless giving as a wife and mother; to fervent prayer and devoted Bible study as a woman of Godliness; and demonstrated unconditional love to her family and friends earning her the distinguished title – Beloved and Godly Mother.

James Daron Mincey

James Daron Mincey, 61, beloved husband of Demetra Prosser Mincey, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 17, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Mincey was born a son of Horace B. Mincey and Verla Cooper Mincey on August 10, 1951 in Hemingway. He was a retired maintenance technician at Arcelor Mittal Steel Corporation.  

He leaves behind: his wife; three children, Contessa M. Wall, James “Clay” Mincey, and Brandon Lee Mincey; two grandchildren, Logan Mincey and Mary Peyton Wall.  He also leaves behind:  two brothers, Horace “HB” (Pat) Mincey, Jr. and Michael S. (Jenny) Mincey; and three sisters, Linda M. (Joe) Young, Brenda M. Bessinger, and Ann M. (Bill) Burris.
